Dear All
I am delighted to report the success of the first TRY GOLF
at Alexandria Sporting
Club. Sixty-five people took the opportunity to TRY GOLF
through our Introduction to Golf classes which is a great response to
this initiative that we are introducing for the first time. From those 65
golfers, 38 actually signed up for a beginners classes, this is a great
conversion rate and shows the potential of this program. Of these 38, 13
were juniors players which is extremely rewarding to announce. I
congratulate the Alex committee on their efforts in making that weekend
as successful as it was. I encourage other clubs to take the same steps
in promoting the TRY GOLF at their clubs so that we achieve similar
results and make a significant impact on the number of Egyptian golf
players.
I am pleased at the response to golfers joining the
Egyptian Golf Federation membership scheme. With the support of all the
clubs we are able to bring notable value and benefits to being an EGF
member. Discounted green fees, preferential rates at club open
tournaments and the opportunity to win monthly prizes are appealing to
all golfers. There is clearly also a positive sentiment toward our
Federation and overwhelming willingness to support our activities and
progression.
