Alexandria Professional, Ayman Mahmoud, wins Alexandria Men's with impressive 139 total, 1 under par. Amr Abou El Ela takes leading Amateur.

With 2 impressive rounds, in at times challenging blustery conditions, Alexandrian Home professional, managed consistent rounds of 70, 69 for a 139 total to become Alexandrian Men’s Open Champion. Mahmoud, had a 5 shot winning margin over Mohamed Farouk and 6 shots over the eventual leading Amateur, Amr Abou El Ela who produced two consistent rounds of 72 and 73, for a 145 total and a 1 shot victory over Mamdouh El Sheikh in overall third. 4th place went to Katameya’s Taymour Abou El Kheir following a strong second round 71.
The leading Net players were Andrea Marmaras with a 2 under par total of 138. Runner Up went to Jack Marco 1 shot further back with a total of 139 beating Khaled El Serafy on count back. Serafy produced the joint lowest net round of the tournament with a 67 on day 1, only matched by Hisham Kabbani’s net 67 on the second day which earned the him the low round of the day prize.
An impressive 81 players participated in the Alex Men’s Open, an event that boasted an healthy line up of sponsors. The prize giving ceremony was attended by the Governor of Alexandria, his Excellency Mr. Adel Labib. The Alex Men’s Open was the penultimate event in the EGF Order of Merit, that will decide the Amateur Team for the 2010 Challenge Match.
