21 Juniors Complete the EGF Junior Development Program at Alexandria Sporting Club

The 4th and 5th June saw 25 budding young golfers from Alexandria Sporting Club attended a weekend of games and skills tests as part of the EGF Junior Development Program. The weekend was osted by Richard Phillips, Golf Development Officer for the EGF, and with the assistance of Alexandria’s professional’s Ezzat Abou Kassem and Ayman Mahmoud.
Each day the juniors took part in a variety of games and challenges covering all aspects of the game and played 9 holes from the EGF forward tees. The results of the games allowed the juniors to complete the program they have been working through over the last 3 months and 21 received their awards at the awards ceremony on Saturday afternoon.
Phillips said afterwards “it is great to see the enthusiasm all the juniors have for the game, they really enjoyed the 2 days and congratulations to them all on achieving their first awards. I look forward to presenting them with more awards in the future as they improve their skills during the program.”
