84% of Try Golf Participants At
Dreamland Sign Up For Beginner's Program

The 5th and 6th of February saw the
second opportunity for people to take part in the E.G.F.'s " Try
Golf for Free" promotion, this time at Dreamland Golf Resort in 6th
of October. 41 people keen to give golf a try signed up for
the classes but some wintery weather reduced the turn out on the
weekend to 25. Despite the weather, 21 of those who attend enjoyed
their experience so much that they signed up for a program of
beginner's lessons starting the following weekend.
The classes were conducted by a member of
the Dreamland Professional staff and Richard Phillips (Golf
Development Officer for the E.G.F.) who said afterwards "it was a
shame that the weather conspired against us this weekend but I am
delighted that so many of those who came have chosen to learn golf.
84% is an amazing figure and just goes to show how much people like
the game once they have the chance to try it".
