The Opening Ceremony 29th September 2009
2009 African Amateur Golf Team Championship got under way yesterday
with the official opening ceremony, Egyptian golf federation
chairman Ayman Hussein welcomed the delegates, captains and
competitors of the competing countries to Egypt for the 5th AAGTC.
Mr. Hussein hoped that our visitors not only enjoy the Championship
but also a memorable stay in Egypt. The teams entered the ceremony
to their national anthems in front of an impressive gathering of
golfers from the community, club managers, club owners and
ambassadors of the competing countries. African Golf Confederation
president Mr. Alfred Dunn congratulated the EGF Chairman on his
organizing committee efforts in bringing the event together and
ensuring the record entry of 13 countries.
