Thursday 10th – Saturday. 12th Dec.
The tournament is a 54 hole stroke play event played at
Gezira Sporting Club from Thursday 10th to Saturday 12th December
2009. The Egyptian Amateur Open is a gross event with the leading
player being crowned the 2007 Egyptian Amateur Open Champion. The
event will award the top 3 gross winner along with the leading
Juniors Player ( age 18 and under on the day of the first round)

Play will be from the tournament tees at
Gezira sporting club.

The tournament is open to all amateur
golfers - with a maximum handicap of 9 for men.

In the event of entries (at closing date)
exceeding 45 players there will be a handicap ballot of the
higher handicap holders. The EGF reserves the right to alter
this number.

Caddies are permitted for the event.

LE200 for adults and LE100 for junior
players ( age 18 or under and the day of the first round)

Fee includes entry for Gezira Sporting Club
for 3 days, 3 days green fees, entry fee and prize giving
buffet on final day.

Cancellation within 48 hours of the start of
the tournament and no-shows will be charged the full entry
fee. Cancellation after the closing date will result in a LE
50 administration fee being charged. Failing to withdraw and
NO SHOWING for an event will result in the entry fee being
paid in full and a tournament ban from EGF and club events

website.

In the event of there being a tie for first
place in the 54 holes gross event there will be a sudden death
play-off over the 9th and 1st hole. For all other ties there
will be a card play-off over the last 18, 9, 6, 3, and last
hole. In the event of there still being a tie there will be a
card play-off starting from the 1st hole and playing the
course as per the card until a result is achieved. The
tournament will award the top 3 best gross scores. No Net
prizes will be awarded.

If a player arrives at his starting point
ready to play, within 5 minutes after his starting time the
penalty for failure to start on time is 2 strokes to be added
to the player's starting hole. If the player arrives after 5
minutes the player is disqualified.

The committee reserves the right to alter
the draw or starting times.

The committee reserves the right to refuse
an entry.

The R & A Rules of Golf apply and the local
rules of Gezira Sporting Club.

A round of golf should take no longer than 4
hours and 9 holes should take no longer than 2 hours. If a
player / group is considered slow the following penalties will
be applied; First Offence – warning , Second
Offence – Two strokes , Third Offence –
Disqualification.

Mobile Telephones – Not to be used for the
18 holes of each round.

Disputes – In the event of any disputes or a
need to change any terms or conditions of the tournament the
decision of the Tournament Committee will be final.
