Abou El Ela once again the Amateur Champion of Egypt 13th December 2009
Despite strong efforts from Taymour Abou El Khier and a superb 69 from tournament host Amr Mahfouz, it was Egypt’s only scratch player once again proving that he is still our strongest competitor by clinching the trophy by 3 strokes over 54 holes at Gezira Sporting Club. Abou EL Ela, from Alexandria, shot rounds of 73, 75 and 70 for a 218 winning total.
Runner Up was Amr Mahfouz on 221 with Third place going to
Katameya’s Taymour Abou EL Kheir on 222.
