Format

16 players a side
-
All four ball matches played of 3/4 handicap allowance and singles full handicap difference.

8 four ball matches on Day 1 with the pairings positioned according to Captains choice.

16 singles matches with the players placed in playing handicap order. Not exact handicaps, captain can choose playing order of same handicap players. Captains to play first. Both Captains agreed that they will play in fours for the singles – to be reviewed

Total points required for victory – 12.5
Tee
Regular ladies tees at Katameya Heights – same for both day.
Qualifying
The EGF orders of Merit along with Captains selection should decide the teams. For 2010 the proposal is for the following system, in order of selection process:
Top 5 from Gross Order Of Merit
Top 5 from Net Order of Merit
6 Captain selections
Captains should give strong consideration for not only the stableford order of merit leaders but also to the players whose position in a ranking list is effected by switching categories during the season. EGF will provide both Captains with updated Orders of merit and then following each event.
Team selection
Date to be 3 weeks prior to matches.
Exact rules on freezing of handicaps to be reviewed.
Opening Ceremony
Opening ceremony should be informal and to be discussed between Captains.
Role of Captain
The Captain is permitted to offer and advice to any of her players at any time. Only players (or captains) within the playing group maybe become involved in a rules dispute, no outside players may become involved in another match.
Food & Beverage
Light buffet for prize giving on day 2
Sponsored product expected for both days – to be approved by host venue
Alternates
Both teams to declare 2 alternates, which must be selected in the event of a player withdrawing. In the event of a player withdrawing after the deadline for the teams Monday 7th May, the alternate is a direct replacement but will play of their own handicap.
Practice Rounds
Each Team will be allowed 1 complimentary practice round which will be confirmed by each Captain and the host club.
Caddies
The use of caddies will be allowed for the event.
Costs
EGF will provide the following:
Golf course costs – carts for 2 days tournament and green fees for 2 days tournament and a practice day
2nd day light buffet
Captains and Teams to provide the following:
Carts for practice round
Uniforms for Captains
All other costs
Spectators
Spectators are encouraged, however not on the golf course itself and with no golf cart use. With the exception of the first tee and approved by the host club.
