CONDITIONS OF TOURNAMENT
The tournament is a 36-hole stroke play event played from the men tees over the Course at Alexandria Sporting Club. The player with the lowest gross 36 holes total will be crowned the Egyptian Closed Champion 2010.
The tournament is limited to Professional Golfers who MUST be members of EPGA and Amateur Golfers of 9 handicap and below who MUST be members of Egyptian Golf Federation and Junior golfers of 14 handicap and below who MUST be members of Egyptian Golf Federation.
A) The scorecard length for the Tournament will be as follows:
B) Caddies may be used; the host club has its own caddies however players may use their own choice of caddy.
C) All entries are to be sent to Alex Sporting Club to the following contacts:

D) Draw for round 1 will be published on 9th June. Draw for round 2 is subject to results from Round 1 with leaders playing last. Play will be in 3 balls. Groups will be decided as stated in score order, with “first in last out” policy.
E) In the event of tie for the winner, sudden death will decide the winner over hole 18, then repeated until a result is achieved.
F) For all other ties there will be a card play-off over the last 18, 9, 6, 3, and the last hole. In the event of there still being a tie there will be a card play-off starting from the 1st hole and playing the course as per the card until a result is achieved.
G) If a player arrives at his starting point ready to play, within 5 minutes after his starting time the penalty for failure to start on time is 2 strokes to be added to the player's starting hole. If the player arrives after 5 minutes the player is disqualified.
H) The R & A Rules of Golf and the local rules of Alexandria Sporting Club apply as indicated on the score card.
I) A round of golf should take no longer than 4 hours and 9 holes should take no longer than 2 hours. If a player / group is considered slow the following penalties will be applied: first offence (warning), second offence (two strokes) and third offence (disqualification).
J) Mobile Telephones only permitted to call championship officials.
K) Disputes – In the event of any disputes or a need to change any terms or conditions of the tournament the decision of the Tournament Committee will be final.
L) Prizes – The overall winner of the Closed may be Professional or Amateur. All other prizes are separated, the leading 10 Professionals will receive prize money as per separate sheet of “Pro prize Fund”, the leading 3 Amateurs, the 2 top net score will be awarded with silver trophies. For juniors, the top gross score and the top net will also be awarded. No player may win a gross and net prize with all 3 gross prizes taking precedence over the net
M) Closing date for entries is 7th June 2010. The entry fee is LE 350 for Amateurs, 250 for Pros and LE 300 for Juniors, and this includes 2 green fees, practice round on 10th June 10, 2 morning light breakfast station and a lunch buffet on the 2nd day. N) No shows for either rounds is subject to a BAN from the next 2 EGF tournaments.
