On course scoreboards and sponsors banners are defined as temporary immovable obstructions. If a players ball lies on, in or under such an object, or if it interferes with the players stance or swing, or intervenes directly between the player’s ball and the hole and is on his intended line of play the player shall be entitled to free relief by dropping within 1 club length of the nearest point of relief. App. 1-7.
