Issa Abou El Ela leads Egyptian Junior Open following a 71 in the first round

Despite temperatures in the 40’s, Alexandria’s Issa Abou El Ela finished round 1 with a impressive gross 71 to take the half way lead in the Egyptian Junior Open at Dreamland. Other players also seemed unaffected by the hot weather with several fine performances on the day. Hassan Fayed continued his great form with a gross 80, net 66, as did Saphir Gohar who shot a 90 gross for a net 69. Dreamland’s Maged Abdel Taweb fired an 84 gross, net 70 and Gezira’s Omar Mafouz finished also finished with a net 70 after a round of 81.
