Issa wins Egyptian Ladies Open and takes player if the year title by finishing top of the Order of Merit. Monaghen takes the top Net prize.. 5th May 2010
Katameya member, Sophie Issa, won the 2010 Egyptian ladies Open over the Championship course at Dreamland Golf Resort with a 36 hole total of 159 giving her a 6 stroke victory over fellow Katameya members Catherine Clark. Clark took the runner up gross spot with 164 and Maha Sennoussi took 3rd with 166. Issa seals the player of the year title with this victory and will be acknowledged at the season ending CLEO CUP. The Champion net player was Dreamland member Mary Monaghen with 138. Runner Up Net was Nadine Delavanis on 143 with Beth Brown in third on 146. The leading player in the stableford category was Pearl St Pierre with 84 points, runner up went to Dana Sid Ahmed wit 75 points and Enda Kosy taking 3rd with 71 points. The Egyptian Ladies open was the final event in the 2009-2010 Ladies EGF Order of Merit and has decided the final placings for the 2010 CLEO CUP.
