Ahmed Shindy, Shams Bahaa, Ahmed Hassan and Ismael Bahaa win the Global Brands Junior Pro-Am

Ahmed Shindy, Shams Bahaa, Ahmed Hassan and Ismael Bahaa won the Global Brands Junior Pro-Am with an amazing score of 125, 19 under par, over a superb Championship course at Mirage City. The first Junior Pro-AM of its kind, presented by Global Brands, saw an impressive entry of 27 teams competing in the best 2 scores per hole from 4 team format. Each lucky junior was invited by EGF to join a Professional along with 2 Amateur players in an end of season fun tournament that will be one of the highlights of the golfing community each season. Chairman of the EPGA David McMullen thanked both Ahmed and Hisham Said of Global Brands for their support of not only the first Global Brands Pro-Am series but also the 2010 Challenge Match where they were main sponsors. McMullen also thanked event support sposnors, Four Seasons, Coke and Harriman Golf and all the clubs that have contributed to prizes for the Global Brands series.
McMullen commented ” We owe a major thank you to Global Brands for creating and supporting the 1st Junior Pro-Am in the country, we can only hope that this event may inspire some of the juniors to gain greater enjoyment from their golf and push the future of the game in Egypt. It would be great to see one of the juniors turning professional themself one day after having attended the Global Brands Pro Am series.”
Ahmed Shindy of Porto Marina, won the individual Pro event with a fine 2 under par 70. Runner up went to Salah Zaki with 73 and Mirage professionals tied Zak Mohamed and Karl Anders tied in third with 74s.
