Abdel Monem El Shafei leads final event of EGF Order of Merit, Orange Lakes Men’s Open, Abou El Khier and Scarello in pursuit 28th May 2010
National Squad member Abdel Monem El Shafei produced a personal best 3 under par 69, to take a 1 stroke lead in the Orange Lakes Men’s Open, the final event in the 2009/2010 EGF Order of Merit. 1 shot back is Taymour Abou El Khier and 3 shots back is Taymour Scarello after a level par 72. Mamdouh El Shiekh is in 4th on 75 with Jay Sohn, fighting for vital Order Of Merit points to earn a place in the 2010 Challenge Match team, shooting 77. The Orange Lakes Men’s Open is the final event in the qualifying for the 2010 Challenge Match Amateur team which will be selected following this event.
