Egyptian Closed Championship

10th - 11th June 2011

 

 

Mohamed Farouk Wins The 2011 Egyptian Closed Championship……


Mohamed Farouk followed up a first round excellent score 64, with a second round 76 giving a total of 140, (level par) to win The 2011 Egyptian Closed Championship, held at Alexandria Sporting Club.  Second day conditions were a little windier than the first day, with the chasing pack trying to put pressure on Farouk, during the closing holes.  Second place went to Ayman Mahmoud on count-back total scorer 141 , Third place went to Sherif Sallam toal score 141.  Mohamed Farouk congratulated his fellow competitors during his winning speech, and also thanked   Eng. Ayman Hussan (EGF Chairman) and Dr. Moahed El Attar  (EGF Vice Chairman) and EGF Golf Administrator Mohamed Salah(Kima) for organizing the event at the host club.


Junior prizes went to Saphir Gohar  (170 Gross) .

Nett prizes were also awarded to the EGF  Amateur Winners, with a very close contest , eventual winner Costa Marmaras (Nett 141), 2nd place Maher Waheb (Nett 143) and 3rd place Phil Downey (Nett 144), who was making his first appearance in the event.

The Egyptian Golf Federation would like to thank the home club Alexandria Sporting Club, for hosting the event in 2011.
